A special feature of this tank is the underwater observation tunnel. It is possible to generate a basic current in the shallow towing tank. Additionally a wave generator is installed which is able to produce arbitrary one-dimensional sea spectra.<\/p><p>If larger water depths are needed, a second\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dst-org.de\/en\/facilities\/deep-water-tank\/\">deep water towing tank<\/a>\u00a0is available.\u00a0This tank has a lateral underwater observation window, which extends to the ground.<\/p><p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dst-org.de\/en\/facilities\/manoeuvring-basin\/\">manoeuvring bassin<\/a>\u00a0is particularly suitable to perform turning circle manoeuvres.
