Scientific training in logistics (Wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung in der Logistik)
The object of the project was the model development, testing, implementation and evaluation of tailored qualification and study concepts in logistics with certified degrees for different target groups at various organizational status levels in close cooperation with the operational practice.
Within the course of the sub-project, the DST worked on three different educational aspects in the context of inland navigation. With the aim of developing a new, supplementary and advanced qualification in inland navigation, firstly the assumed demand was determined and then a framework curriculum for a master’s degree in inland navigation was drafted, differentiating between a cross-discipline and an activity-specific part.
Furthermore, the use of driving simulators in inland navigation, which is currently being increasingly discussed at EU level, was realized in two different seminar concepts. On the one hand, a preparatory course on driving simulators for route patent examinations ( oriented to a selected training objective), which takes up the use of driving simulators as a still new type of training device, was developed as an example. On the other hand, an information course (“Active experience of nautical driving on inland waterway vessels”) was designed and carried out on a driving simulator.
