For assistant work in our national and international research projects we are looking for a
Research Assistant [f/m/*]
at the earliest possible date
What you will actually do:
- Support the research activities of the Logistics & Transportation department, esp. in the fields of inland waterways and ports
- Assist in the development and design of the research infrastructure of the Logistics & Transportation department
- Support the preparation of research documents and working papers
- Search and process scientific publications and relevant topics
What we look for:
- Student1 of industrial engineering, logistics engineering, business administration2, (economic) geography2 or a comparable field of study
- Relevant practical experience in the field of logistics, cargo handling, port management, and/or inland waterway transportation
- Good knowledge of German and English (B2 each, at least), both written and spoken
- Reliable and independent way of working
- Team spirit and communication skills
- Knowledge in the use of geoinformation systems, logistics simulation tools, statistical programs, and/or further ICT-based tools2 desirable
